Why this matters: The average person spends 6–10 hours per day under artificial light. The quality of that light directly affects eye health, cognitive performance, and sleep quality — yet most lighting products are designed around brightness and price, not biology.
Can ooWOLF lights actually reduce eye strain?

Yes. The two primary causes of eye strain from artificial lighting are flicker and glare. ooWOLF uses DC Constant Current technology to eliminate flicker at 0Hz — most LED lights flicker at 100–120 cycles per second, which the nervous system registers as continuous stress even when the eye cannot consciously detect it. Our UGR below 19 glare control further reduces the visual effort required to work under our lights. Users typically report a noticeable reduction in end-of-day eye fatigue within the first week.

I have trouble sleeping even though I limit screen time. Could my lighting be the problem?

Very likely, yes. Blue-wavelength light — present in most cool-white LED bulbs and desk lamps — suppresses melatonin production regardless of whether it comes from a screen or a ceiling light. If your home or office lighting is cool-white (above 4000K) in the evening, it is actively signaling to your brain that it is still daytime, delaying sleep onset and reducing deep sleep duration. ooWOLF's circadian presets automatically shift from 6500K cool daylight to 2700K warm amber as evening approaches, allowing melatonin to rise naturally and supporting healthy sleep architecture.

What is flicker-free lighting and why does it matter for headaches?

Most LED and fluorescent lights flicker at 100–120Hz — below the threshold of conscious perception, but well within the range that the human nervous system detects as a stressor. This sub-perceptual flicker is a documented trigger for tension headaches, migraines, and eye fatigue, particularly in people who spend long hours under artificial light. ooWOLF's DC Constant Current technology delivers a perfectly stable light output with zero flicker, removing this trigger entirely. Many customers who previously experienced regular work-related headaches report significant improvement after switching.

What does CRI 97+ mean and why is it better than standard LED lights?

CRI (Color Rendering Index) measures how accurately a light source renders colors compared to natural sunlight (CRI 100). Most consumer LED lights score CRI 80 or below — meaning colors appear slightly washed out or shifted, forcing your eyes to work harder to process visual information accurately. ooWOLF products achieve CRI 97+, delivering near-natural color rendering that reduces the cognitive load on your visual system. Is ooWOLF lighting safe for children and teenagers?

Yes, and it is especially beneficial for children. All ooWOLF products are IEC 62471 RG0 certified — the highest photobiological safety classification, confirming no retinal hazard under any normal use condition. Research increasingly links prolonged exposure to high-blue-content artificial light in childhood to accelerated myopia (short-sightedness) progression. ooWOLF's managed blue-light output and flicker-free technology make our products a responsible choice for children's study environments.

How is ooWOLF different from "blue light blocking" glasses or screen filters?

Blue light glasses and screen filters address one source of blue light — the screen — while leaving all other light sources in your environment unchanged. If your room is lit with a standard cool-white LED ceiling light, you are still receiving significant blue-light exposure even while wearing blue-light glasses. ooWOLF addresses the problem at the source: the light itself. By calibrating the spectral output of your ambient and task lighting, we reduce your total blue-light load across your entire environment, not just from one device.

Can the ZEPHYR fan light help with sleep in a bedroom?

Yes. The ZEPHYR Fan-Light is specifically designed for bedroom environments. Its circadian presets shift to warm amber (2700K) in the evening, supporting melatonin production. The fan operates at 35dB or below — quieter than a library — so it does not disrupt sleep with noise. The combination of warm evening light and silent airflow creates an environment that is physiologically conducive to falling asleep and staying asleep.

What products does ooWOLF currently offer?

ooWOLF currently offers five products: Vertex™ (desk lamp), LUMIVEIL™ (monitor light bar), Flux-Lite (screen bar), Sentinel™ (ultra-wide desk lamp), and ZEPHYR™ (bio-rhythm ceiling fan light). All products share the same seven engineering protocols: RG0 certification, 0Hz flicker, circadian presets, CRI 97+, UGR below 19 glare control, managed blue-light output, and precision lumen output.

Do ooWOLF products require an app or smart home hub?

No. ooWOLF products are designed to work without any app, Bluetooth pairing, or smart home integration. Controls are built directly into the product — touch controls, physical dimmers, or the included remote (for ZEPHYR). We believe that the most reliable technology is technology that simply works, without requiring a phone or internet connection.

What is the lifespan of ooWOLF LED products?

ooWOLF LED products are rated for 50,000 hours of use. At 8 hours of use per day, this equates to approximately 17 years of service life. The LED modules are not user-replaceable, but the expected lifespan means replacement should not be necessary for the foreseeable lifetime of the product.

What voltage and plug standards do ooWOLF products support?

ooWOLF desk lamps and monitor lights operate on 100–240V AC, 50/60Hz, making them compatible with electrical standards worldwide. The ZEPHYR ceiling fan light is hardwired and requires installation into a standard ceiling junction box — please verify your local wiring standards before purchase. Regional plug adapters may be required in some markets.

Are ooWOLF products certified for use in the UK, EU, and US?

Yes. ooWOLF products carry CE (European Union), UKCA (United Kingdom), FCC (United States), RoHS (hazardous substance restriction), and IEC 62471 RG0 (photobiological safety) certifications. Full certification documentation is available on request via support@oowolf.com.

How do I set up the Vertex™ or Sentinel™ desk lamp?

Desk lamp setup requires no tools. Attach the base, connect the power cable, and plug into a standard outlet. The lamp is ready to use immediately. Full setup instructions are included in the box. The arm is fully adjustable and can be positioned for desk-mounted or clamp-mounted configurations depending on your model.

How do I install the LUMIVEIL™ or Flux-Lite monitor light?

Monitor lights clip onto the top edge of your monitor using a weighted hook-and-balance system — no tools, no adhesive, no damage to your monitor. The clip accommodates monitors from 1mm to 30mm in thickness. Power is supplied via USB-A or USB-C (cable included). Installation takes under 60 seconds.

How long does it take to install the ZEPHYR ceiling fan light?

The ZEPHYR is designed for installation in 10–20 minutes using standard household tools (screwdriver and wire stripper). It mounts to a standard ceiling junction box using a universal bracket included in the package. Step-by-step instructions are included, and a downloadable PDF installation guide is available on the product page. If you are not comfortable working with electrical wiring, we recommend engaging a licensed electrician.

My monitor has a built-in camera at the top — can I still use a monitor light?

This is a common issue with monitors that have integrated webcams or sensors at the top bezel. If the camera is centered, the monitor light can often be offset slightly to one side without significant loss of illumination coverage. If the camera occupies the full top edge, we recommend contacting us at support@oowolf.com — our team can advise on the best mounting solution for your specific monitor model.

Where should I position my desk lamp for the best eye care results?

For right-handed users, position the lamp to the left of your workspace to minimize shadows on your writing hand. For monitor work, the lamp should illuminate your desk surface without creating reflections on the screen. The ideal lamp height positions the light source above your line of sight to prevent direct glare. ooWOLF's asymmetric optical diffusion is designed to direct light downward onto the work surface, minimizing upward scatter toward your eyes.

Delivery & Order Tracking
How long does delivery take?

Orders are processed within 1–3 business days. Standard international shipping typically takes 7–14 business days after dispatch. Express shipping options may be available at checkout depending on your location. You will receive a tracking number by email once your order has been dispatched.

Do you ship to my country?

ooWOLF ships to 30+ countries worldwide, including the United Kingdom, European Union, United States, Canada, Australia, and most of Southeast Asia. Available shipping destinations and costs are shown at checkout. If your country is not listed, please contact us at support@oowolf.com and we will do our best to assist.

How do I track my order?

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number and a link to track your parcel. You can also track your order at any time via our order tracking page. If you have not received a tracking email within 3 business days of placing your order, please check your spam folder or contact us at support@oowolf.com.

Will I have to pay customs duties or import taxes?

International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, or VAT depending on your country's regulations. These charges are determined by your local customs authority and are the responsibility of the recipient. ooWOLF is not able to predict or control these charges. We recommend checking your country's import regulations before placing an order.

My parcel shows as delivered but I haven't received it. What should I do?

First, check with neighbors and any secure parcel drop locations at your address. If the parcel is still not found within 2 business days of the marked delivery date, please contact us at support@oowolf.com with your order number. We will open an investigation with the carrier and work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Returns, Refunds & Warranty
What is your return policy?

We offer a 30-day risk-free return window. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. To initiate a return, email support@oowolf.com with your order number. Full details are available on our Refund Policy page.

How long does a refund take to process?

Once we have received and inspected your returned item, refunds are processed within 3–5 business days. The refund will be returned to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take an additional 5–10 business days to appear in your account.

What does the warranty cover?

All ooWOLF products come with a 12-month manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions. The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, unauthorized modification, or physical damage. To make a warranty claim, contact support@oowolf.com with your order number, a description of the fault, and photos if applicable.

My product arrived damaged. What should I do?

Please contact us at support@oowolf.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the damage to both the product and the packaging. We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you. Retaining the original packaging is helpful for carrier claims, but is not required for us to process your replacement.
